41 11 015 Replacing Front Left Or Right Engine Support With Wheel Arch

Spot-weld bonding is used on this vehicle. Observe specific PROCEDURE .

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS for repairs.

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Following new body parts are required:

(2) Wheel arch, front
(1) Carrier support, wheel arch

Removing the wheel arch

Mark severance cut (1) and cut.

IMPORTANT: Cut outer metal panel only.

Open welded connections in area (2).

Installation note:

Sheet section is needed to seal bulkhead carrier support.

Open welded connections in areas (1).

Open SPOT-WELDED ADHESIVE JOINTS in area (2).

Remove wheel arch with carrier support.

Preparation of new part:

Prepare REINFORCEMENT PLATE at the severance cut.

Adjust new part to fit with set of attachments or universal mount.

Installation of engine support with wheel arch

Fit new parts and reinforcement plate using alignment bracket or universal mount and weld.
