41 35 111 Replacing Rear Right Side Panel

IMPORTANT: Do not damage adjoining body components.

Installation information:

41 00... BODY GAP DIMENSIONS serve as basis for adjustment tasks.

Release screws.

Tightening torque 41 35 5AZ .

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Heat side panel in area of cavity acoustic baffle (2) with hot-air blower and carefully remove.

Installation note:

Apply sealant to cavity acoustic baffle. See INSTALLING CAVITY SEALING (EXPANDED) or INSTALLING CAVITY SEALING (NOT EXPANDED) .

Also apply sprayable sealing compound on inside of side panel in area (1). Width approx. 50 mm.

Material: Terostat 9320.

When reusing the side panel:

If necessary, apply sealing compound in area (2) between side panel and reinforcement (3).
