41 63 002 Replacing Cover Bowl

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Remove FLAP FOR FUEL FILLER NECK  (1).

Turn cover (1) through approx. 90° and lever out in direction of arrow.

Release screw (1).

Press retaining strap (1) inwards and remove.

Remove fuel tank cap.

Press rear cover housing in direction of arrow downwards a little and then pull outwards.

In so doing, lift seal (1) over fuel filler neck (2).

If necessary, apply suitable antiseize agent between seal and fuel filler neck.

Installation: 

Locks (1) on left/right of cover (2) must not be damaged.

Installation: 

Following parts of cover housing not be damaged or missing:

1. Catches, top/bottom
2. Spring
3. Catch, fuel tank flap
4. Seal

If necessary, apply suitable antiseize agent to seal and fuel filler neck.
