25 11 101 Replacing shift rod

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear assembly underside protection
Release bracket for exhaust system on transmission
Remove heat shields
Remove TRANSMISSION CROSS-MEMBER .

Detach locking clip.

IMPORTANT: New retaining clips fitted as from 04.08.

Retaining clip must interlock captively with retaining web (1) behind shift rod pin.

Pull shift rod (1) out of shift rod joint (2).

Installation:

Grease shift rod pin (3) using SPECIFIED GREASE .

Detach locking clip (1).

Remove selector rod (2).

Installation:

Grease selector rod pin using SPECIFIED GREASE .
