65 75 080 Removing and installing/replacing interior movement detector module in left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (1).

Remove microwave sensor (2) from door trim panel (3).

NOTE: In vehicles built after 10/2011 the microwave sensor (2) with shielding (3) is fitted.

When replacing, use shielding (3) for all vehicles.

NOTE: In the event of the customer complaint "Frequent false alarm deployment" do not automatically replace the microwave sensor (2).
In this case stick shielding (3) to existing microwave sensor (2).

Pull off film from shielding (3). Lay down shielding (3) on a level surface so that the bonding surface faces upwards.

Position microwave sensor (2) flush (see small arrows) on shielding (3) upright as pictured and press down. Fastening openings (2) must point to the rear. Stick remaining sides of shielding (3) onto microwave sensor (2) and press down.
