13 71 160 Removing and installing/replacing front air duct (N54, N54T)

IMPORTANT: Levering at the top of the air duct results in risk of damage! 
Air duct may break!

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unlock and detach coolant hose (1).

Turn the lock to release the snap fastener (2) and remove.

Release hose clamp and detach air duct (3).

Tightening torque 13 71 5AZ .

Installation note: 

Turn the lock (1) back until the arrows line up.

Slide the air hose onto the air duct.

The air hose must audibly snap into place.

Release screws and pull off the coolant hose (1).

Tightening torque 11 53 6AZ .

Installation note: 

Check sealing ring.

Replace damaged sealing ring.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 13 71 6AZ .

Unclip the a/c line (1) from the holder.

Release and remove the coolant hose (2) from coolant thermostat and loosen from holder (4).

Release coolant hose (3) from holder (4) and lay down to one side.

IMPORTANT: Pull the air duct off from the exhaust turbocharger.
Levering at the top of the air duct results in risk of damage! 
Air duct may break!

Pull the air duct (1) off in direction of arrow.

NOTE: Illustration with engine removed.

Installation note: 

Check sealing ring (1) for damage.

Replace damaged sealing ring.

Make sure sealing ring (1) is correctly seated in air duct (2).
