17 11 100 Removing and installing/replacing coolant expansion tank (N20, N54, N54T, N52K)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Follow notes for carrying out REPAIR WORK ON THE COOLING SYSTEM .
Using a suitable tool, disconnect coolant line on coolant expansion tank.

Loosen the vacuum line at the clamps (1) of the expansion tank.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 17 10 4AZ .

Unlock and disconnect coolant hoses (3).

Raise expansion tank (4)

Unlock connector (1) on coolant level switch and disconnect.

Remove expansion tank (2).

Installation note:

Make sure retaining pin (3) is fitted correctly in rubber mount (4).

Assemble engine.

Top up COOLANT .

Check COOLING SYSTEM FOR LEAKS .
