51 43 030 Removing and installing/replacing cover on rollover bar, front left or right

Special tools required:

00 9 327

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Partially open the retractable hardtop
If necessary, remove wind deflector

Insert special tool 00 9 327 in marked area from an angle at rear in direction of arrow (A) between front (1) and rear covers (2).

By rotating special tool in direction of arrow (B) lever cover (1) out of retaining nipple of rear cover (2).

Repeat procedure, as described above.

Now carefully lever front cover (2) out of remaining retaining nipples by hand and remove cover (2).

Installation note:

Replace missing or damages fixing grommets (1).

Installation note:

Retaining nipples (1) on rear cover (2) must not be damaged. If necessary, replace rear cover (2).
