51 32 170 Removing and installing/replacing door window glass, front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

WARNING: Danger of injury!
Carry out work on the power window regulator only when the power window motor is de-energized.

Door window glass (1) must be opened to dimension (A).

A = Approx. 110 mm

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 16AZ .

Remove the adapter (2).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 13AZ .

Remove H-strut (2).

NOTE: Power window shown when removed.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 32 2AZ .

Remove the door window glass (2).

Installation note:

Insert the door window glass (2) into the clamping plates (3).

Adjusting DOOR WINDOW GLASS

Run a function check.

With door window glass replacement:

Remove the clamping plate (1) from the door window glass (2).
