11 28 010 Replacing drive belt for alternator (N20)
Special tools required:
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove drive belt for vane pump (all-wheel drive vehicle only).
- Remove the CLEAN AIR PIPE to the exhaust turbocharger.
NOTE:
Mark the direction of travel of the drive belt if it is to be reused.
Turn belt tensioner (1) on the hexagon head (2) in direction of arrow until bore hole on the belt tensioner is flush with the dowel hole.
Keep the belt tensioner (1) tensioned and position with a lock pin or special tool 11 0 390 , if applicable.
Remove drive belt (3).
Assemble engine.
Installation note:
Check drive belt for correct installation position and, if reusing, observe direction of travel.Risk of damage .
