71 60 560 Replacing release unit for trailer tow hitch

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove complete trailer tow hitch

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release bolt (2).

Unclip cable holder (3).

Drive out retainer (1) with a suitable tool.

Remove drive unit (2) from trailer tow hitch base carrier (3).

Installation:

Align lock (2) to release pin (4).

Fit drive unit (1) up to stop and press in retainer (3).
