LCD Display: Construction

The LCD display is divided into two zones. The top zone displays:
- Time And Ambient Temperature And Date
- Symbols for Check-Control message and Condition Based Service (CBS) service operations
NOTE:
Readings if the ambient temperature sensor fails
The displayed values for the ambient temperature indicate the nature of the fault. In the event of a short circuit, the LCD display will indicate +50° Celsius. In the event of an open circuit, the LCD display will indicate -50° Celsius.
The bottom zone is for displaying:
- Selector Lever Position Or Gear Indicator (with Steptronic or SMG)
- Sport Program
- On-Board Computer Functions
- Countdown Distance Or Date When The Next Service Is Due
- Distance Recorder
- Trip Meter
