How It Works

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 BMW 645Ci and 2004 BMW 645Ci. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The button has 2 functions that are activated by pressing the button for different lengths of time.

Press button Function
Short less than 10 seconds Head-up display switched on or off
Long more than 10 seconds Test functions are activated. This mode is intended for service staff (e.g. system test)

As soon as the first test function is displayed, other test functions can be activated by briefly pressing the button.

NOTE: Reactivating the head-up display  Press the button again and hold it for longer than 2 seconds to reactivate information relevant to the driver.
