52 17 030 Removing and installing/replacing backrest frame on left or right front seat (comfort)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove front seat  , see 52 14 000 Removing and installing left or right front seat .
• Remove backrest cover  for front seat, see 52 13 405 Replacing backrest cover for left or right front seat (normal/semi-electric) .

Release all cable ties on wiring harness (1).

Disconnect all marked plug connections.

Feed through wiring harness (1) at bottom right on backrest frame.

Unclip left and right clips (1).

Unhook seat covers (2) on left and right.

Release left and right screws (3).

Tightening torque 52 10 2AZ  , see 52 10 FRONT SEATS .

If necessary, remove lumbar cushion with drive and valve block.

Remove backrest frame.
