51 34 420 Removing and installing/replacing trim on window frame of rear door (front), left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Open rear side window
• Release cover on door window frame, see 51 32 160 Removing and installing/replacing housing cover on inner left or right door window frame .

Detach rubber seal (1) and rubber guide (2) from trim.

Release screws (1).

Carefully detach trim (2) towards front/top.

Installation: 

Moisten rubber window seal prior to fitting with water.

Fitted foam pieces must not be damaged when trim (2) is pushed in.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty plastic nuts (1).

Make sure rubber window seal is correctly seated.
