51 71... Sealing the units compartment partition wall, top center

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Remove gasket (1) for engine compartment lid.

Release screws (2, 4).

Remove partition wall (3).

If necessary, remove butyl residue from the body.

Remove sponge rubber seal or butyl residue from area (1).

Press protruding sponge rubber seal back into the joints (1) or cut it off.

Installation note: 

Prepare 2 pieces of butyl rope 6-7 mm in dia. and 10 cm long.

Seal joints (1) with butyl tape.

Installation note: 

Apply butyl tape in area (1) along the component edge.

Compress the butyl tape evenly when inserting the partition wall.

Tighten down screws.

Reassemble the vehicle.
