51 71... Removing and installing/replacing top right steering box cover
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove bottom steering gear cover, see 51 71... Removing and installing/replacing bottom left or right steering gear cover .
Unscrew nut (1).
Release expander rivet (2) and remove cover (3).
Installation:
Replace damaged expander rivet.
Make sure cover is correctly positioned.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure all covers in wheel arch are correctly seated in relation to each other:
- Rear cover (1) overlaps front cover (2)
- Cover (4) overlaps rear cover (1)
- Cover (3) overlaps all covers
