51 21 280 Removing and installing/replacing door stop on left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks 

• Close door windows
• Remove sound insulation in front area only  See 51 48 070 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SOUND INSULATION ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR  or 51 48 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SOUND INSULATION IN LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR 

Lever out seal (1).

Unfasten screws (2 and 3).

Installation: 

E60/E61 tightening torque:

1. (2) 51 21 9AZ
2. (3) 51 21 10AZ

E70/E71/E72 Tightening torque:

1. (2) 51 21 3AZ
2. (3) 51 21 4AZ

Remove door brake (1) via cutout (2).

Installation: 

Following parts of door retainer (3) must not be damaged:

1. Hinge
2. Thread

Seal (1) must not be damaged.
