23 01 010 Replacing sealing cap (GS6-17BG/DG)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove transmission . See REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION or INSTALLING EXCHANGE GEARBOX .
Remove CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING/LEVER .

Drive a hole into the sealing cap (1) with a suitable tool (2).

IMPORTANT: Do not use a drill as swarf may result in transmission malfunction.

Screw special tool 23 0 490 into sealing cap.

Withdraw sealing cover from transmission housing with aid of impact weight.

Apply transmission oil to the sealing lip of the sealing cap (1) and insert.

Drive sealing cap firmly home with special tool 23 0 330 .
