Fault description

The diagnosis monitors whether the decrease in tank content matches the injected fuel quantity.

The fault code is entered if the tank content calculated in the DME deviates excessively from that of the instrument cluster.

Possible cause of fault:

• Fuel level sensor sticking
• Fuel level sensor mechanically damaged
• Float of fuel tank level sensor damaged
• Frequent refuelling with quantities less than 5 liters (e.g. hired car)
