Fault description

The diagnosis monitors whether the intake air temperature (from the hot film air mass meter) for cylinder bank 1 shifts in response to conditions where the signal should shift.

The fault is recognized if the temperature has not changed by at least 1.5 K.

Possible fault cause:

• Stuck sensor
• Shunt
• Sensor manipulation
