Fault description
Diagnosis monitors communication between the instrument cluster and the DME with regard to ambient temperature.
The fault is detected when the ambient temperature sensor at the instrument cluster has a short to positive or open circuit.
Possible fault cause:
- Wiring harness, outside temperature sensor defective
- Outside temperature defective
