Procedure steps

IMPORTANT:

Risk of damage (scratches)

Tools and sharp-edged components can cause scratches.

  1. Remove trim for selector lever: 
    • Partially fit special tool 00 9 340 as shown in illustration.
    • Lift trim for selector lever (1) all around and remove upwards.
    • If necessary, unlock associated plug connection and disconnect.

  2. Removing the operating unit for the center console: 
    • Adhere to following procedure:
      1. Reach under front section of operating unit for the center console (1).
      2. Press front latch mechanism in direction of arrow and simultaneously raise operating unit for the center console (1) towards top.
      3. Disconnect associated plug connection and remove operating unit for the center console (1).

  3. Installing the operating unit for the center console: 
    • Clip in the operating unit for the center console.

  4. Install trim for selector lever: 
    IMPORTANT:

    Latch mechanisms, guides and mounting elements must not be damaged or missing.

    • Check latch mechanisms for damage, if necessary replace trim for selector lever.
    • Clip in trim for selector lever (1).
