61 35 001 Removing and installing (replacing) trailer module

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES ON PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL AT SIDE REAR RIGHT

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unlock retaining lugs (2).

Pull trailer module (3) out of holder.

Installation note:

Make sure trailer module (3) is correctly engaged in holder.

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
