63 10... Adjusting dynamic light spot headlight (with non-electronic headlight adjustment device)

NOTE:

Comply with TEST PREREQUISITES for headlight adjustment.

Refer to the manufacturer's operating instructions for the headlight adjustment device!

NOTE: Dynamic Light Spot headlight must be adjusted in the following cases:

After removing and installing/replacing the Dynamic Light Spot headlight
After removing and installing/replacing the front bumper panel
In the event of customer complaints about the lighting performance

Switch the ignition on.

Perform test procedure via path:

Body
Lights
Targeted headlight illumination

Adjust headlight setting dimension on headlight adjustment device: 0 %

NOTE:

The graphic schematically shows the light pattern of the dynamic spot headlight on the projection surface in the inspection glass of a headlight adjustment device.

The proportions shown in the graphic are examples and may differ from a real pattern.

(1): horizontal line = dividing line for reference axis of light/dark boundary for the low-beam headlight

(2): vertical line = break point of light/dark boundary for the asymmetric low-beam headlight

Light pattern of dynamic spot headlight must be positioned as follows:

1/3 must lie above and 2/3 below the horizontal line (1).
Vertical line (2) must be in the middle.

If necessary, adjust Dynamic Light Spot headlight (3) with screws (1, 2).

NOTE:

Upper screw (1) is for height adjustment.

Lower screw (2) is for lateral adjustment.
