51 23 110 Removing and installing/replacing left engine compartment lid catch (12-cyl. only): Notes

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR CONNECTION .

Release remaining screws (1) on engine compartment lid catch (2).

Tightening torque 51 23 2AZ .

Raise engine compartment lid catch (2).

Engine compartment lid catch with microswitch:

Detach plug connection (1) by twisting from catch carrier.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Pull back retaining spring from release lever (1).

Feed Bowden cable (2) out of release lever (1) and catch carrier (3).

Remove engine compartment lid catch.
