51 32 420 Removing and installing/replacing trim on front door window frame, left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

If necessary, open the window glass
Remove FRONT DOOR TRIM

Carefully feed out the rubber window seal (1) in working area. When doing this pay attention to the connection to the inner window cavity (see mark in illustration).

Installation:

Coat rubber window seal (1) with water before fitting.

Unfasten screws (2).

Protect top frame trim against scratches.

Move cover (1) somewhat down and feed out above.

Lever out trim (1) to the rear and feed out somewhat to the outside.

Pull out the cover (1) upward over the frame cover.

Installation:

If necessary, replace damaged plastic nuts from the bolts (1).

Installation:

Check trim (1) for damage, replace if necessary.
