17 11 046 Removing and installing/replacing module carrier (N63, N74)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (1) on left and right on holder for module carrier.

Tightening torque 17 10 10AZ .

Release screws (1).

Release holder (2) together with auxiliary water pump from module carrier.

NOTE: Only with installed auxiliary radiator:

Unlock holders (1) from coolant pipe and pull off the module carrier toward the top.

Lift module carrier (1) upwards slightly.

Disengage holder for module carrier (2) from bumper support (3).

For purposes of clarity, the front bumper panel is shown removed.

Pull holder for module carrier (1) off module carrier (2), feed out and remove.

Press module carrier (1) slightly towards rear. Then feed out module carrier (1) towards bottom and remove.

Reassemble the vehicle.
