32 21 151 Replacing left or right track rod end: Notes

NOTE: If the track rod end to track rod screw connection is released, it is necessary after reinstallation to carry out a chassis/wheel alignment check.

Release nut (1) and remove track rod end (2) from swivel bearing.

Installation note: 

Keep track rod end to swivel bearing connection clean and free from oil and grease.

Replace self-locking nut.

Tightening torque 32 21 3AZ .

Determine dimension (A) to simplify following adjustment of front axle.

Slacken nut and clamping ring.

Unscrew track rod end from track rod.

Installation note: 

Check GAITER  for damage, replace if necessary.

Refit clamping ring (1).

Screw track rod end onto track rod to dimension (A).

Tightening torque 32 21 2AZ .
