00 11 500 Checking/topping up oil level in automatic transmission (GA6HP26Z/GA6HP32Z)

Conditions for oil level adjustment with BMW diagnosis system:
- Initial condition:
Transmission oil temperature 30° to 50° C
- Final condition:
Transmission oil temperature 30° to 50° C
Performing oil-level adjustment:
An oil-level adjustment is necessary in certain fault code entries in the automatic transmission and after repair (e. g. mechatronic replacement, converter replacement, transmission replacement).
- Connect diagnosis and information system.
- Open service function (powertrain)
- Carry out oil level check in accordance with instructions
Adding transmission oil
Stand vehicle on a level surface and secure against rolling off.
Undo oil filler plug (1).
Add automatic transmission fluid according to instructions in the BMW diagnosis system.
Installation note:
Renew sealing ring/oil filler plug.
Tightening torque: 24 11 3AZ .
Tighten down oil filler plug using
- Hexagon wrench AF 8
- Torque wrench
- Socket AF 8
