51 16 163 Removing and installing/replacing rear center console cover

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Move front seats forwards.
• Remove SIDE TRIM PANELS ON CENTER CONSOLE .

Release screws (1) on left and right sides.

Detach rear center console cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Unlock plug connections behind and disconnect.

Replacement: 

• Remove fresh air grille in rear passenger compartment. See REMOVING FRESH-AIR GRILLE (BASIC A/C SYSTEM) or REMOVING FRESH-AIR GRILLE (HIGH A/C SYSTEM) .
• Remove REAR A/C SYSTEM CONTROL PANEL .
• Remove LOWER REAR CENTER CONSOLE COVER .
