11 12 112 Replacing both cylinder head gaskets (N63O1)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove left CYLINDER HEAD 
• Remove right CYLINDER HEAD 

Installation note: 

Check spacer bushes (1) for damage and replace if applicable.

The cylinder head gasket (2) for cylinders 1-4 and cylinders 5-8 are identical.

Cylinder head gasket (2) must depending on its styling be correctly positioned on the timing chain case.

Repair gasket (+REP) is 0.3 mm thicker.

Check cylinder head for surface evenness. See 11 12 CYLINDER HEAD WITH LID or 11 12 719 GRINDING CYLINDER HEAD LOWER FACE (N63O1) .

Assemble engine.
