63 21 180 Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear light (in side panel)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION) .

Remove luggage compartment lid (1).

If necessary unfasten plug connection.

Carefully pull out (1) expanding rivets.

Remove bottom water drain cover (2).

Installation:

Expanding rivets (1) must not be damaged.

Slacken nut (1).

Tightening torque 63 21 3AZ .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unscrew nuts (2).

Tightening torque 63 21 3AZ .

Remove left rear light (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Make sure sealing frame (1) for tail light (2) is correctly seated.

If necessary, replace SEALING FRAME (1).
