Control units for the targeted illumination (GZAL and GZAR)
The safety for all involved is increased through the targeted illumination of persons on the roadway.
The Night Vision camera records the area in front of the vehicle and warns against persons on the street.
Depending on the environmental conditions, the targeted illumination works in a range of approx. 30 to 100 meters. Persons (animals) who are warned in this range are illuminated with a targeted light beam. Persons are continuously illuminated, animals are illuminated in flashes. At the same time, a beam of light on the roadway guides the driver's attention from the vehicle up to the person in danger.
The headlights that can be swivelled horizontally quickly to illuminate objects (persons or animals) that were recognized are installed instead of the fog lights. Both headlights are activated independent from each other.
