51 24 133 Removing and installing/replacing drive for Soft Close Automatic on rear lid (top) (soft closure aid)

Necessary preliminary tasks 

• Partially remove rear spare wheel well trim panel (rear expanding rivets). See 51 47... Removing and installing/replacing rear spare wheel well trim panel .

Unclip (2) drive (3).

Disconnect plug connection (1) and disengage at lock actuator.

Disengage Bowden cable at counter support (1) and lock lever (2) of luggage compartment lock (rear lid, top).

Installation: 

Perform function check with lower rear lid open.
