Action in service

  1. Clear ECU fault memory? Ignition off? Ignition on for at least 1 minute
  2. If fault remains:
    1. 2.a. Check wiring harness DME - throttle valve (sum of throttle-valve voltages must equal 5 V)
    2. 2.b. Check to determine whether foreign objects/matter in the intake manifold or at the throttle valve are preventing the throttle valve from closing
    3. 2.c. Completely close the throttle valve by hand and measures the voltages on the two sensors (S1: 0.5 V +/- tolerance, S2: 4.5 V +/- tolerance)
  3. Replace throttle valve
