65 50 057 Removing and installing/replacing Central Information Display (CID)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).

Necessary preliminary tasks

Lift trim (1) with special tool 00 9 317 out of latch mechanisms and remove upwards.

Release screws (1) from CID (2) on speaker carrier (3).

Fold out CID (1) manually.

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove CID (1) towards top.

Slide protective sleeve (1) upwards.

Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Disconnect plug connection (3).

Installation:

Ensure correct routing of cables.

Replacement

Carry out vehicle programming/coding.
