51 32 211 Replacing front left or right rubber guide for left or right door window

Necessary preliminary tasks 

• Remove INNER WINDOW CAVITY COVER STRIP 
• Remove OUTER WINDOW CAVITY COVER STRIP 
• Remove SOUND INSULATION  in front area

Pop rubber guide (1) in area (A) out of door.

Pull rubber guide (1) out of window guide rail and remove towards top.

Installation: 

Moisten rubber guide (1) with water before fitting.

Slide rubber guide (1) from above into window guide rail and if necessary retighten at bottom.

Make sure rubber guide (1) is correctly seated on door and door window glass.

Installation:

Coat contact surface of window glass with Vaseline, especially in top corner (2).

Rubber guide (1) must not be damaged in corners (2).

If necessary, replace rubber guide.
