51 11 185 Removing and installing/replacing ornamental grille for bumper panel (side)

Special tools required:

00 9 323

Fold trim bar (1) down and pull in direction of arrow from catches (2).

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (2) must not be damaged.

Unclamp catches (1) with special tool 00 9 323 and remove ornamental grille (2) towards front.

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged.

IMPORTANT: The ornamental grille (1) shown is welded to the bumper panel and cannot be removed from the outside.
The trim bar (2) can be removed from the outside.

Dismantling the trim bar:

Reach behind ornamental grille (1) and push latch mechanisms (3) up.

Feed out trim bar (2) forwards.
