Monitoring criteria

The fault is recognized when a short circuit to positive is present during transmission of a control-activation signal to the exhaust flap's electric pilot valve.

Potential problem source(s):

-Defect in wiring harness between DME and electric exhaust-flap pilot valve

-Electric exhaust-flap pilot
