51 11 185 Removing and installing/replacing side grille in bumper trim (from 03/2010)

Special tools required:

IMPORTANT: Damage to paintwork!
To avoid paint damage, tape off painted surface in lever area.

Unclip latch mechanisms (1) with special tool 00 9 3235 and remove ornamental grille (2) towards front.

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged.

Replacement:

Modify trim bridge (1); to do so, unclip latch mechanism (2).

Installation note:

Latch mechanism (2) on trim bridge should not be damaged.
