12 61 280 Removing and installing/replacing oil pressure switch (M57TU, M57T2)

IMPORTANT: Protect alternator against engine oil.
Cover alternator with suitable apparatus (risk of damage) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Remove oil pressure switch (2).

Installation:

Tightening torque: 12 61 1AZ .

IMPORTANT: A small amount of engine oil emerges when the oil pressure switch is removed, have a cleaning cloth ready.

NOTE: Check engine oil level.
Check function of oil pressure switch and check for leaks.
