51 42 019 Removing and installing or replacing door handle on door trim panel, rear left or right

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 317

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary work: 

• REMOVE  rear door trim panel

Undo screws (3) and (4).

Release retaining hook at upper and lower dome of handle (2).

Feed handle outwards out of door trim panel (1).

Installation note: 

Retaining catches (1) on handle (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Replacement 

• Reinstall retaining clips (3) for handle trim cover
