51 13 307 Removing and installing/replacing left or right roof rails (version with panorama glass roof)

Special tools required:

WARNING: Observe safety regulations . See 72 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION or 72 00... SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR HANDLING COMPONENTS WITH GAS GENERATORS when handling airbag modules.
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.

Switch off the ignition!

Necessary preliminary work:

To detach the clamps, use special tool 0 496 932.

Push the left and right tabs together and pull clamp out.

Unlock and remove clamp (1) with flat-nose pliers.

Slightly press airbag (1) to the side and release nuts (2).

Tightening torque 51 13 4AZ .

Remove roof railing (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Following parts must not be damaged or missing:

Stud
Gasket
