51 47 316 Removing and installing/replacing carpet for rear passenger compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove BOTH FRONT SEATS
• Remove TRIM PANEL FOR DOOR POST, BOTTOM  left/right
• Remove COMPLETE CENTER CONSOLE 
• Remove cover for central bass speaker  . See 65 12 053 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER - PASSENGER'S SIDE - (UNDER FRONT SEAT) or 65 12 051 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER -DRIVER'S SIDE- (UNDER FRONT SEAT) left/right

Feed back wiring harness (1).

Feed out carpet (2) to rear/top.

Installation note: 

Make sure wiring harness (1) is laid correctly.

Apertures (1) serve as alignment points when fitting carpet (2).
