66 53 020 Removing and installing (replacing) reversing camera

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Unlock latches at marked points.

Remove cover (1).

Remove reversing camera (2).

Replacement:

Also for version with other cameras:

Carry out service functions:

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

With the aid of a suitable tool (1) (e.g. small screwdriver) release rear-view camera (2) and detach from housing (3).

Replacement:

Remove protective film from lens of reversing camera (2).

Retaining lugs (1) on housing (2) must not be damaged.

Installation note:

Seal (1) on rear view camera (2) must not be damaged.

Insert rear view camera (2) as shown in button holder (1).

Engage rear view camera (2) in direction of arrow in button holder (1).

Latch mechanisms (3) must not be damaged.

Installation note:

Make sure the rear view camera is latched correctly (2)!

After installation:

Replacement:
