51 13... Installation of new threaded bolts on roof rails

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Do not scratch or damage visible surfaces.

Component overview:

Insert threaded stone (1) in roof rails (2) and position using corresponding bolt hole.

Connect spacer (3) in correct position on threaded bolt (1).

NOTE: To aid installation, move roof rails (2) into installation position.

Screw in new threaded bolt (1) by hand, until spacer (3) makes contact with roof rails (2).

Secure spacer (3) with open-end spanner SW 13 against turning and tighten threaded bolts (1).

Tightening torque: 51 13 9AZ .

Installation:

Evenly glue in new seal (1) with adhesive side facing spacer (2) into recess of spacer (2).
