51 13 305 Removing and installing/replacing left or right rail
WARNING:

IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage! Do not use sharp tools in the area of the head airbag.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove grab handle brackets at front and rear. See REMOVING FRONT GRAB HANDLE HOLDER and REMOVING HOLDER, REAR LEFT/RIGHT GRAB HANDLE .
Only with optional equipment load area net
- Release screws (2) prior to installing the rear load area net (1).
Tightening torque 51 47 3AZ .
If necessary, lever out cover caps and release nuts (1).
Tightening torque 51 13 3AZ .
Remove rail (1) in direction of arrow.
Installation note:
Gasket on roof rails (1) must not be damaged.
