51 16 383 Removing and installing/replacing damper for glove box

Press down holding tab (1) from glove compartment lid (2).

Feed out damper (1) from fixture (2).

Press retaining lug (1) outwards to remove left stop (2).

Press retaining lug (1) outwards to remove right stop.

Lower glove compartment cover (1).

Turn damper for glove compartment (2) through 90° and remove.

NOTE: Illustration shows sectional view.

Installation: 

Fit damper (1) correctly in opening (1) of glove compartment housing (2) and lock by turning through 90°.
