51 11 050 Removing and installing/replacing carrier for front bumper trim

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release impact absorber (1) from support (2).

Release screw (1) on retaining hook bracket (2).

NOTE: Left side shown. Right side is identical.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on fanfare horn (2) on left/right. Unclip each wiring harness on support.

Drill out blind rivets (2) and release nuts (3).

Tightening torque 51 11 2AZ .

Remove carrier (1).

Installation:

Center carrier (1) prior to riveting.

Replacement

Modify fanfare horns.
